What we work on together

Three dimensions. One whole life.

Most coaching addresses one thing. ElevateMe works across every part of who you are — because your health, your spirit, and your calling are not separate problems.

01
Your health

Energy, sleep, chronic conditions, and the daily habits that shape how you feel. Your relationship with yourself and with others. Measurable goals that reflect who you actually want to be. A nurse's clinical lens meets real behavior change — no generic advice, no pressure to be someone you're not.

02
Your spirit

Purpose, faith, meaning, and the values that drive everything else. True wellness can't ignore your inner life. We make space for the questions that don't fit a doctor's appointment.

03
Your calling

Career clarity, professional identity, and the life you're intentionally building. Whether you're at a crossroads or just ready to level up, this is where direction gets real.

Clinical expertise.
Whole-person care.

Elisa Dominguez spent 20 years working in every corner of the American healthcare system — from NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia, one of the top 10 hospitals in the nation, to community hospitals serving small towns. From VA government healthcare to private insurance. From high-acuity inpatient units to outpatient settings. She has worked alongside every type of patient population, across every kind of lived environment, and with every version of how health can go right — or wrong.

That breadth is what makes ElevateMe different. When Elisa works with you, she brings a clinical frame built across two decades of real-world complexity — not a textbook, not a single specialty, but the full picture of what it means to live inside a human body in the real world.

About Elisa

Twenty years at the bedside.
Now, in your corner.

A nurse coach brings something most coaches can't: clinical judgment, real medical literacy, and the hard-won understanding of what it actually takes to change.

The clinical years

I started my nursing career in emergency departments in New York — fast-paced, high-stakes, one patient after another. Over the years, I moved through post-anesthesia care, telephone triage, case management at NYP/Columbia's Step Down Cardiothoracic ICU, and eventually into nurse training and education at the Dallas VA.

I loved every version of that work. But the more I progressed, the more clearly I saw the gap: people who survived, who were stabilized, who received excellent clinical care — and then went home to the same environment, the same habits, the same stress. The discharge instructions didn't stand a chance.

The turn toward coaching

Becoming a nurse coach wasn't a departure from nursing. It was its fullest expression. My Master's from the University of Pennsylvania focused on health leadership — not just clinical skill, but systems thinking, behavior change, and the conditions that actually make people well.

My NC-BC certification through the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation gave me a formal framework for what I had always believed: that real health is whole-person health. Body, mind, and spirit are not separate systems to be treated in isolation. They are one life, and they need to be addressed as one.

What I bring to the work

I'm a person of faith, and I believe wellness cannot be separated from the inner life. The spiritual dimension of who we are matters, and it gets almost no attention in clinical settings. I bring it into coaching deliberately, with no agenda other than honoring the whole person sitting across from me.

I've spent years in the Hispanic nursing community — serving on boards, leading health fairs, mentoring nurses, advocating for representation. I bring that same commitment to community and care into every coaching relationship.

And as a HeartMath certified instructor, I work with evidence-based techniques for heart-brain coherence — practical tools for managing stress, building resilience, and getting your nervous system on your side instead of against you.

Elisa also lends her clinical expertise to AI health technology teams — because staying at the frontier of what's possible in health and wellness, and understanding its limits, is part of what she brings to every client relationship.

This is not generic wellness advice. This is twenty years of clinical judgment in service of the whole you.

Nurse Coaching Explained

What is a nurse coach — and why does it matter?

A credential you haven't heard of yet, doing work the healthcare system hasn't figured out how to do.

The short answer

A nurse coach is a registered nurse who has completed additional specialized training in professional coaching — the evidence-based practice of helping people set goals, change behavior, and build a life that reflects their values.

What makes a nurse coach different from a wellness coach or a life coach is clinical grounding. When you work with Elisa, you're working with someone who has spent 20 years reading bodies, assessing symptoms, and navigating the real complexity of how illness, stress, and lifestyle intersect.

How it compares

ElevateMe (Nurse Coach)

Whole-person: body, mind, and spirit. Clinical literacy that catches what wellness coaches miss. Behavior change with medical context. Referral to clinical resources when needed.

Your doctor

Diagnoses and treats medical conditions. Typically 15 minutes per visit. Cannot spend time on lifestyle, habits, or the emotional and spiritual dimensions of health.

General wellness coach

Goal-setting and accountability. No clinical training. Cannot recognize when a symptom needs medical attention. No scope to engage with medical complexity.

Important to know: Nurse coaching is not therapy, not medical advice, and not a replacement for your clinical care team. Coaching is present- and future-focused: we work on behavior change, goal-setting, and whole-person growth. Your physician handles the clinical picture. ElevateMe handles everything else — and knows exactly where the line is.

Frequently asked questions

Is this covered by insurance?
Nurse coaching is generally not covered by insurance. Many clients use HSA or FSA funds, which may apply when coaching is focused on chronic condition management or prevention. Check with your plan administrator.
Do I need a health condition to work with you?
Not at all. Many clients come with a specific health challenge; others come because they want to reset, clarify their purpose, or build better habits before a health event forces them to. All of it is welcome here.
What's the difference between this and therapy?
Therapy primarily addresses the past — processing trauma, diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. Coaching is present- and future-focused. Many clients find both valuable and highly complementary. If therapy is what you need, Elisa will tell you that.
What does a session actually look like?
Sessions are 55 minutes via HIPAA-compliant video. We check in on where you are, review progress since the last session, do the work of the session, and close with clear next steps. Between sessions, you have access to accountability check-ins and session notes.
I'm a man. Is this for me?
Completely. ElevateMe was built to be as relevant to a 27-year-old man managing stress and a career pivot as it is to anyone else. Whole-person wellness doesn't have a gender. Neither does needing support.
Do you work with people outside Texas?
Yes. All sessions are virtual, and ElevateMe works with clients across the US. If you have questions about telehealth considerations in your state, we'll address them in your discovery call.
